Consider Eloping – Simple and Sublime!
And right now, it may be your safest bet.
The safest way to get married as we navigate living with the coronavirus pandemic is by keeping your guest count low, or have no guests at all. Contracting the virus increases in large gatherings, so choosing to elope alone or with your closest friends/family brings those chances down significantly.
If a celebration just for two or with a few loved ones feels like the right decision for you, consider choosing a location that’s local or drivable. In our opinion, as seasoned wedding officiants, intimate can be incredibly romantic. When a couple is focused on what really matters, we can always feel the love surrounding them!
We’re located on the SunCoast of Florida, sometimes called the GulfCoast, which is on the West side of Florida and boasts the most beautiful sunsets in the world. From St. Pete south to Bradenton, Sarasota and Venice, you’ll find amazing beaches, islands, gardens, parks, boutique hotels/B&Bs and waterfront restaurants to consider. Weddings are big business in Florida, so there are many professionals to help you decide on just what you’ll need and fits your budget. Wedding packages can be affordable and an easy way to simplify planning and get top-notch services. Wedding ceremony packages can include the venue, officiant, photography, décor, flowers, music and even lodging or any combination you desire. Right now, event planners and wedding professionals have the time and energy to help you make it happen, even on short notice.
Anna Maria Island and Siesta Key are two of the most beautiful natural backdrops in our region. We’re happy to share a few package options perfect for eloping or for gatherings of 10 – 20. Check out Anna Maria Island Venues at https://annamariaislandvenues.com/wedding-packages/ and Swanky Soiree’s Simply Eloped Package. Or, if you have a venue in mind in the Sarasota-Bradenton-Venice area, you can visit us at Say “I Do” at the SunCoast for our affordable custom ceremony packages.
Many couples we are talking with don’t want to postpone getting married. If a romantic elopement or “minimony” is starting to sound good, consider saying “I do” on the SunCoast. And let someone else plan the big party later this year or next! If you’re still lamenting that your original plans were interrupted by the coronavirus crisis, think about videotaping or live streaming your ceremony to your guest list. It’s a good way to include those you wish could be there, without any of the risk. You have plenty of options: Zoom, Skype, Facebook Live, Google Hangouts, or FaceTime can allow your guests to tune in virtually and still witness your vows.
